Nikoloz Romanov’s Trail

I day – from Likani to Lion Hill’s tourist shelter – 15 km (5-6 hours)

Nikoloz Romanov’s Trail in Borjom – Kharagauli National Park starts in Likani settlement (930 m drom sea level) and ends in Village of Marelisi, Klaragauli (or vice versa). The hiking starts in a virgin coniferous forest, where tourists will be able to survey the unique spaces of trees, which are in the list of “red book”. Till trekking it is must to take the stock of water. Visitors can overnight in tourist shelter which is in 15 km from start, or in tents. In tourist shelter, you will be able to use the stove. Toilet is in outside of the shelter and there is no bathroom in side.

 

II day – from Lions Hill’s tourists shelter to Salakhvro’s tourist shelter – approximately 18 km (6-7 hours).

On the second day tourists must full the water reserve; the trail goes up to Lion’s Hill (2198 m sea level), where is great views to alpine and sub – alpine valleys. Then the path goes down to the bottom of the hill and tourists will overnight in Salkhvlari’s tourists shelters. There is no bathroom in the shelter and the toilet is in outside. There also is no stove, but tourists will be able to fire in the yard.

 

III day - -from Salakhvro’s tourist shelter to Ranger’s station in Marelise – 1- km (4-5 hours).

The last day is much easier – the trail runs among the river’s valley. The hiking takes not more than 5 hours. The path ends in village of Marelis. There you will expected the car of the company.

Andria’s Trail

Length – 54 km

Duration : 4 days

Difficulty : Difficult

 

I day – from ranger’s station in Atskuri to tourist shelter in Amarati – 16 km (5-6 hours).

 

Just in 2 km from central road, there is an entrance of National Park. Near that entrance there is a start of “ST. Andria’s Trail”. It starts in Atskuri and ends in Marelisi. Just in 5 minutes from start, tourists will be able to view the cages of Roes. Here tourist must to full the water reserves, because the mineral water is just in 16 kilometres. You will be able to overnight in tourist shelter or in tents. It is not bathroom in the shelter and the toilet is in outside, near the house.

 

II day – from tourist shelter in Amarati to rangers’ station in Sametskhvro – 9 km (5-6 hours).

 

The hiking in second day is more difficult and passes the  alpine valleys. The mineral water is just in half day ride. You will overnight in rangers’s station, were is the highest peak of the park – 2642 m. Here is just 3 beds. You will be able to overnight in tourist shelter or in tens. It is not bathroom in the shelter and the toilet is in outside, near the house. There is no Firewood for fire.

 

 III day – Fromrangers’ station in Sametskhvaro to tourist shelter in Sakhvlari – 19 km (6-7 hours).

The hiking on third day easier but a distance is little bit longer. The path goes down to forest from the peak. You are expected beautiful views. You will be able to overnight in tourist shelter or in tents near the shelters. There is no stove and bathroom. The toilet is  outside.

 

IV day -  from tourist shelter in Sakhvlari to rangers’s station in marelisi  -10 km (4-5- hours).

On the last day path runs among the river. The hiking time is approximately 5 hours and it ends in Marelis, near the ranger station. There you will expected company’s car.
